Even his late uncle had encouraged him to marry the girl for more than her beauty. He advised Arief know her spiritually, mentally… even as Arief’s uncle heard his own words, they laughed knowing better. Arief never understood why his uncle had bad luck with women. Every time his uncle gave the Friday sermon about marriage, Arief laughed internally while having a serious face. He knew his uncle well; knowing that he was in his fifth marriage and counting.
